Heart
aching loose
over years of loss
longing to find fulfilment
one
with another closely held
with filaments strong –
a spiders
web
Now
broken free
adrift and lonely
this heart beats rhythmically
on
sounding a final lament
it splinters apart
on deaf ears
lost.
